Our Team

Sam Virani B.Sc., D.Ch. has been in practice since 1992 and has resided in the Ottawa area since 1995. He is a member of the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine and is registered with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario. He graduated from Durham in England with a degree in Podiatric Medicine and is certified in regional anasthesia, cortisone injections, and pharmacology. Chiropodists are licensed and regulated foot specialists that provide comprehensive foot care for all ages.

David Walker D.Ch. graduated in 1990 and has worked in Ottawa since then in hospitals, community health centres, and private practice. He is registered with the College of Chiropodist of Ontario and is a member of the Ontario Society of Chiropodists and the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine.

What is Chiropody?

Chiropody is the assessment of the foot and the treatment and prevention of diseases or disorders of the foot by therapeutic, surgical, orthotic, and palliative means. Our procedures range from the cutting of toenails (ingrown or not) and the removal of corns and calluses to the surgical removal of nails and warts or other foreign bodies in the foot. Chiropody is essential to athletes with foot problems, as well as people suffering from diabetes-related symptoms, including nerve damage and poor circulation. Chiropodists are highly trained in biomechanics and orthotic design.
